Bach Flower Remedies
The remedies were researched and developed by Dr. Edward Bach who was a Harley Street doctor, physician and homepath. During his research Dr. Bach explored nature for several years and in 1934 created his own centre at Mount Vernon in Oxfordshire, England. His research centred around his belief that our mental attitude and emotions are strongly linked to our physical health and well-being.
He focused on the 40 basic negative states of mind and created a plant or flower remedy to help heal each one. Each of the flower remedies helps to heal a particular emotion, they can be taken individually or in combination with colour therapy, as they support the emotional and spiritual body.
The remedies are all made from flowers or plants and carry the vibrational energy and colour of the their natural source. The essences work very well when used in combination with colour therapy as they support the healing process. They can also be seen as a form of colour therapy in their own right as each plant or flower displays its own colour.
When choosing a remedy for self healing it is important to tune into how you are feeling, then select a remedy that corresponds to that particular emotion. Bach flower remedies may also be used on animals, children and plants.
