Exploring Colour with Nature for Children

A wonderful colourful book ideal for young children who are exploring the world of colour takes children through each season of the year; showing how colour can be mixed and also educating them on the colour changes that occur in nature.
This book inspired me to take my young nephew for a woodland walk and gather, leaves and spring wildflowers. After taking time to actually look at the aray of colours in nature, we took our natural materials home to make a caterpilar collage. We used coloured paints, threads and the wildflowers and leaves that we had gathered to produce a spontanious and colourful caterpillar collage with our hand and foot prints also.
